It is this question that led to the creation of Upswing, a jewel from the House of MS Ramaiah. A rich legacy, M S Ramiah has been transforming lives of students by providing state-of-the-art education with the establishment of colleges and M S Ramaiah University in the state of Karnataka, India.
The vision of M S Ramaiah continues to this day, with the 3rd generation of the family having taken on the mantle. Continuing to provide the best education, educational facilities and introducing technology in the mix. It is this constant and relentless endeavour to change the status quo and improve the quality of education that has helped MSR to thrive.
Being one of the pioneers and leading educators in the country with Upswing, the legacy continues to enrich and transform educational instiututions to provide quality education to those who are hungry to learn.

Navakoti Ram M.A. Chairman and Managing Director Navakoti Ram holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management Studies from the University Of Nottingham, United Kingdom and Master's degree in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business, London. He has been a Trustee and Advisor at the Ramaiah Group of Institutions, Bengaluru (since 2014) and Director at Navkis Group of Institutions (since 2017). Prior to taking a plunge into the family business he has worked at Accor group's Sofitel BKC in the Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management department and in the capacity of Business Development & Consulting at Deloitte, Bengaluru.
Somendra Choudhary Executive Director Somendra Choudhary holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering. He has worked with some of the most recognised educational institutions in various capacities and was instrumental in setting up and managing the Global Institute of Corporate Education, Bengaluru. His extensive experience with different technology platforms combined with a strong business acumen has been instrumental in laying the foundation of the product roadmap for Upswing. His ambition is to build Upswing into one of the most higher-education friendly management systems in the country.

Anuradha Kamath CEO & Executive Director Anuradha Kamath is an alumnus of Manipal Institute of Technology and completed her Master’s in Business Administration from M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Management. A passionate second generation entrepreneur who loves conquering new challenges, she has over 15 years of valuable experience in the field of education and has been involved with numerous online businesses. Her prior stint in academics has helped Upswing truly develop a product which addresses different areas and challenges in education management - from examinations, admissions, finance to skill training and development.

Bharath Shivappa Advisory Board Member Bharath Shivappa serves as an Advisor on the firm’s strategy and growth initiatives. He is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at J S Law. He has led Sales & Marketing at Deloitte India as Director. With over a decade at Deloitte, Bharath has rich experience in market strategy, branding initiatives and sales. He led several successful marketing initiatives that have helped companies increase their bottom line. Prior to Deloitte, he also worked at Vodafone India as a strategic account manager for sales. His experience in legal, consulting and technology makes him a regular speaker at industry forums organized by BCIC, FKCCI and educational institutes. Bharath has an MBA from Cochin University.

Dr.Vidya Shankar Shetty Advisory Board Member Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty has been involved in every facet of education including teaching, administration, strategies, training, and R & D. She has been involved with K-12 and Higher Education areas of education governance, been a key member of various management teams. She helped set up several new institutions be it schools, colleges or universities. She leads from the front and has held various leadership positions in reputed educational institutions as Principal, Director or CAO both in India and abroad. Her passion for achieving organizational goals combined with her hands-on experience in strategies for academic institutions make her an indomitable planner, organizer and implementer of ideas par excellence.
